The weather cooperated and we were able to get seats on the upper deck of the boat to enjoy the beautiful views. Seats on the upper deck are taken up quickly as there are people who take the cruise but not the meal so if you want to sit outside after you eat you need to be vigilant. “We booked this tour weeks in advance, and they never showed up to our hotel in Vienna. We even prepaid for the trip. My wife was hugely disappointed and that we did not even receive a phone call or an email to inform us that no one would be picking us up. They’ve indicated we will receive a refund, but we are waiting on that. Found out later, that this happens frequently. You would be smarter to find a way to take the train and do the tour yourself.”

“Do not reserve this tour. We just came back from this tour. When I saw that private tour offers 4 hours in Hallstatt and Salzburg I called viator to confirm that 4 hours did not include driving. Viator agent confirmed that we in fact will spend 4 hours in each place. All wrong!!! We spent 30 minutes in Melk, 1 1/2 hours in Hallstatt and an hour in Salzburg. The rest of 11 hours tour we spent being driven by 23 years old. Can’t tell you how many close calls we had on the road. There was no WiFi or bathrooms or comfortable transportation.
